WHY DO THEY WEAR THOSE MASK'S?
Reason For the Masks:
The masks where created by each member and are said to bring out the inner sickness in each of them. Some of the guys in Slipknot had help creating there masks. Another reason Slipknot wear the masks is so that they can have a life out side of Slipknot, cause these guys still like going to concerts and shit without haveing to get hasseled by people.
SLIPKNOT AND THEIR MASK MEANING'S!
Sid Wilson
Sid has a variety of gas masks which he changes around all the time. He says that if he finds a mask he buys it. He claims that the reason for the mask is to prevent oxygen getting in his skull because he suffers from organic brain syndrome. If you want a gas mask for your self just go down to you local industrial/hardware/retail store and there should be one there.
Joey Jordison
Joey wears a expressionless, Japanese Kabuki mask. It used to be just pain white but he has now used black paint on it to make it look more evil. This mask isn't to hard to make because all you have to do is go to a caft or an oriental shop and purchase your self one and paint it. You will probably have to buy yourself a plastic where as Joey's one is made out of rubber.
Paul Gray
Paul wears a pig faced mask which he says desribes his indulgent personality. He sometimes has a padlock peirced through his nose which looks pretty awsome but i reacon would become a pain in the ass havein waving around when your jumping all around the place.
Chris Fehn
Chris wears a bondage style Pinnochio mask. Now i have heard that the nose is 7 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches long but i dont no which 1 it is so you decide. The mask is made into 2 seperate parts with the nose being on part and the rest of the mask is the other. He also has several differant versions of this.
James Root
Jim used to wear a bondage hood that had purple hair coming out of the top of it. Now he wears an evil jester mask. This mask isn't all that hard to create and there are a few web sites out there which explain in detail on how to make the mask so just look around and you will find.
Craig Jones
Craig wears a diving/racing helmit which has a heap spikes sticking out of it. The reason why his spikes look like rubber, is because they are attached by tape, thats why they move around alot making it look unreal. But be assured you dont want to get close enough to find out.
Shawn Crahan
Shawn has had this mask for like 15 years and he made this him self. He has recently made a new clown mask but looks alot like the one he has now, so be sure to keep an eye out for it.
Mick Thompson
If you think that this hockey mask it made out of metal, your wrong. It's actually made out of leather. This mask also isn't to hard to make all you have to do is go to a fabric store and purchase the material and have a close look at it and you should be able to get the design.
Corey Taylor
Corey's mask is off a crash test dummy. It used to be a leather face with brown/blonde dreads. Some of the were made out of real hair. He used to have holes in the top of the mask where he would pull the his hair through but this became a pain in the ass and he wanted to cut his hair off anyway. Now the mask is made out of latex and most of the dreads are fake.
